Design, reflections and experiences: contributions of a professional master’s program to the advancement of knowledge in design

This article aims to contextualize the practices that converge the experiences related to the teaching, research and extension activities of the Professional Master’s Program in Design, Technology and Innovation, at the Teresa D´Ávila University Center - UNIFATEA, in the city Lorena, in the state of São Paulo, taking into account the context of the period from 2015 to 2019 for context. Within the scope of the evaluation process of stricto sensu programs conducted by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel - CAPES, the significant role played by planning. Thus, it is pointed out that the planning of PPGs goes through Interdisciplinarity, Internationalization and Interinstitutionalization as key and strategic elements in the articulation of projects developed in the Area of Knowledge. Therefore, in the PPG-DTI, this process is supported through alignment with the mission, vision and values of UNIFATEA, a Salesian Catholic confessional institution, as well as the geographical socioeconomic characteristics and the establishment of institutional agreements (national and international), in a way to share teaching, research and development, the transfer and diffusion of knowledge and technology through its own laboratories or the HEI itself and / or companies associated with applied research.
