This paper presents, from the perspective of Information Design, a theoretical- practical study in order to demonstrate that graphical representations can be elaborated in the register contents and information discussed in requirements elicitation meetings for software development. For this, the method adopted was based on literature reviews on visual thinking, visual literacy, collaborative construction of knowledge, visual interpretive repertoires, mental model, collaborative dynamics of visual discussion, and requirements elicitation processes and techniques for software development, and also in carrying out an analytical study of requirements elicitation techniques based on graphical representations. As a result, it was observed that the analyzed techniques (and the features of the graphic representations elaborated) suggest that collaborative dynamics of visual discussion are an environment conducive to requirements elicitation in the studied context.
