Una Revisión Sistemática Orientada al Diseño de la Experiencia

El Método Canguro (MC) es una estrategia consolidada de atención neonatal humanizada. Sin embargo, la literatura se centra principalmente en sus resultados clínicos y presta menos atención a la experiencia materna en el entorno hospitalario. Esta revisión sistemática aplicó el método PRISMA y analizó publicaciones de 2021 a 2024, con el fin de comprender los beneficios del MC y examinar cómo aborda la literatura la experiencia materna, la participación familiar y el entorno hospitalario. De las bases de datos Scopus, Web of Science, SAGE Journals y SciELO se obtuvieron 64 artículos de revisión. La síntesis confirma los beneficios neurofisiológicos, conductuales, emocionales y relacionales, pero revela una atención limitada a las condiciones físicas, sensoriales y espaciales de la atención. La incomodidad ergonómica, la falta de privacidad, el ruido, la luz intensa y el apoyo institucional insuficiente dificultan el contacto piel con piel. Interpretados a la luz del Diseño Basado en la Evidencia (Evidence-Based Design), del Diseño Basado en la Experiencia (Experience-Based Design) y de los Entornos Homeodinámicos Restauradores, los resultados destacan la experiencia materna y familiar como fuente de evidencia para las decisiones de diseño en las Unidades Canguro.
