Recuerdos del COVID-19 Una investigación guiada por la práctica sobre los efectos del confinamiento a través de la perspectiva de un estudiante chino

Este artículo presenta un proyecto de diseño dirigido por la práctica que pregunta cómo se pueden articular los efectos del confinamiento a través de la ilustración y la poesía para narrar una historia personal utilizando un enfoque autoetnográfico para lograr altos niveles de dignidad y originalidad en el comercio minorista. El proyecto de investigación tiene como objetivo crear una narrativa visual, avanzada a través de ilustraciones y poesía, que refleje la experiencia del investigador de los bloqueos impuestos por COVID-19. La narrativa adopta la forma de un libro de cuentos ilustrado para contar la historia de la propia investigadora, que enfrentó experiencias restrictivas mientras estaba encerrada en China durante una visita a su patria. Como resultado, el investigador no pudo regresar a Nueva Zelanda debido a las restricciones de viaje. Durante el tiempo que la investigadora tuvo que esperar en China para poder regresar a completar su estudio en Nueva Zelanda, el encierro le produjo sentimientos de aislamiento, distanciamiento, ansiedad y otras emociones. Este proyecto de diseño tiene como objetivo expresar estos sentimientos, respondiendo a sus presiones utilizando ilustraciones y poemas creativos, creados de manera que articulen las presiones psicológicas por las que uno puede pasar durante este tiempo sin precedentes. Las ilustraciones y los poemas encapsulan una respuesta artística a un momento histórico, creado a través de la escritura poética y las imágenes. El proyecto es un documento histórico de una época donde todo lo cierto se vuelve incierto. Las ilustraciones se utilizan a través de un enfoque autoetnográfico para dar voz a experiencias personales a través del diseño. La investigación contribuye a la exploración de la escritura poética y la ilustración para documentar, comprender y expresar un momento de crisis en la historia humana.
